Corporate Social Responsibility
Electropneumatics firmly believes in giving back to Society. In addition to taking care of the employees of Electropneumatics and their immediate families personally, the management, especially our CMD, Mr. Antony Rasquinha, has undertaken numerous social projects for the upliftment of the local people. Some of them are:
Managed and run by the Sisters of Charity, the school currently holds classes from Kindergarten up to Standard X for around 1000 students. The local children are taught reading and writing as per the Maharashtra State Board syllabus and also given the opportunity to develop extra-curricular skills and moral values. The children passing out this school have a well-rounded character.
An irrigation project consisting of a huge well, pumping station and pipeline network has been build for Rohkal farmers. 200 acres of dry land are irrigated for agricultural production to enable the farmers to produce 3 crops a year instead of only one crop a year.
To provide the village women with an additional source of income, a building with 25 sewing and embroidery machines was constructed and donated to the ladies, who manage and run it themselves. This NGO makes factory and school uniforms and other such apparels.
Pius Memorial Dispensary provides free medical treatment to the poor people of Rohkal village in a clean and well-maintained environment. Doctors with different specialisations visit to address the different needs of the villagers, mostly women and children.
A colourful park with amusement slides, swings, see-saws and other play equipments at Rohkal is specially built for the children of Rohkal and near-by villages.
A Home for the Aged in the lush green surroundings of Waki-Khurd, Chakan, with 36 rooms accommodating 72 people has been built to provide a ‘home-away-from-home’ for the elderly and needy where all their needs are taken care of with love and care by the Sisters of Charity.
